Red Roof Inn Chicago - O'Hare Airport/Arlington Heights

My friend and I stayed here after having another bad hotel experience the day before. We thought this one would be nicer with a better location. We checked in around 4pm and checked out around 10pm the same day. We planned on at least a full day, however when we returned after being out in the city we found roaches on the walls. We took pictures and showed the front desk. They just apologized and did give us our deposit back. Yes it was very affordable, but not for that experience. Also there was no lock on the bathroom door.

Well, it's cheap but you get what you pay for. Old outdated bathroom and electrical. The mattress was worn out. The shower faucet leaked, the outlet in the sink area didn't work, the tv is tiny and the remote didn't work. Oh, and the roaches (the kind that crawl), I found 2 in the 2 days I was there. The carpet area by the door wasn't vacuumed. If I was staying longer I would have complained about it. ||This was the second time I stayed there. The first time my room smelled like bleach. I imagined there was a reason I just didn't think about it. Sorry, but this place really sucks.

I stayed at this motel for a few weeks with my service dog during the summer of 2025. On the first day after checking in, they gave me a room and within an hour I found multiple bed bugs across the room. I told the front desk and they gave me another room after complaining at 5am and demanding another room(they wouldn’t give me one until I demanded respectfully), when they gave me another room they gave me one inaccessible on the 2nd floor(no elevator) and I delt with that, even though this room smelled strongly of urine. Maintenance then came after I asked for them and agreed to find a room on the 1st floor for me. I was given a room on the 1st floor and days later found roaches yet again in this room. I have stayed here twice now. Once this past weekend, the other last year and I haven't had a single issue. I didn't see any roaches. The room and sheets were clean, as was the bathroom. I paid only $40 to stay here on Super, and honestly you can't do better for the price. I've been staying at Red Roofs for as long as Ive been able to book hotels legally and I've stayed at way worse than this location. It's not a Hampton Inn, it's not a Hilton, it's an economy motel and you get what you pay for. If you're on a budget, it's fantastic. If you want something more upscale, this isnt the place for you. The price was just too good to pass up for me.

Positive: The price was good Negative: The place is a dump! We had to switch rooms because of water leaking in the bathroom of the first room, (They rented that room later that night, without fixing whatever was leaking), there was no hot water or water pressure in the shower, SO much more!!!
