Red Roof Inn Batavia

Positive: cushy bed. price Negative: not enough room around the sink for toiletries. the bathroom light is not separate from the fan, so if you like to keep the light on to see your way to the bathroom at night, the noisy fan runs. Otherwise, it would be nice to have a night light.

When I first checked in, I was given a dirty room. Mistakes happened and I was given another room. As I turned in for the night, I checked the windows on my first floor room and found that one of the windows did not lock properly. It could be opened from the outside and the opening was large enough for someone to enter. Again, went to the front desk for a third room, but no other rooms were available. Instead, I was given a PVC pipe to use as a way to keep the window from being opened from the outside. In the morning, I brought the PVC pipe back to the front desk and the gentleman at the front desk laughed. No concern, no apology, just a laugh. Turns out it was my fault for not wanting to move to another hotel at 10pm, according to the manager and their guest relations department.Great cus

My first stay at Red Roof was in November in room 121. The room was clean and pleasant even though it was quite small and no extras. The bed was very comfortable, pillows new and nice, staff personable. I had no complaints. My second stay was in December, room 112. The room was clean and built similar to the first one, but the bed was uncomfortable and made metal creaking sounds with every movement, the pillows were flat and old, the toilet was very slow to flush, and the bathroom door did not close properly. I think this room had not been updated like the first one. I would give 5 stars for my first stay and only 3 for the second one. The staff was all pleasant. The breakfast was okay.

This was a very good stay for us. It was also very clean. Our room looked like it had been recently renovated. The highway noise from our second floor room was somewhat noisy at times. Next time I'll try to get an inside room. It really wasn't a big problem though. All the staff were friendly and breakfast was good as well. We had our dog with us and were pleased to see that there was plenty of area for her to walk. We really appreciated that the grounds around the property were clean too. This was a refreshing change. Several other Red Roof stays we have been to were really filthy and rundown. Police, drugs, parties, etc... Thanks for a much better than expected stay!!!

Room 142 Bad: Soap dispenser at sink empty Shower dripping constantly (had to get bar soap from front desk) Loud bathroom exhaust fan doesn't actually do anything (mirror totally fogged after short shower, had to open bathroom door to defog) One of the beds makes a metal squeaking sound whenever the guest moves on it Mediocre pillows (worse than last Red Roof Inn we were in) Mattresses that don't absorb any motion (partner tosses and turns, you feel every bit of it) Mediocre ventilation (over 800 PPM CO2 in room in the morning), breakfast area spiked from around 400 to nearly 700 PPM after just a few minutes of people talking over breakfast) Flow rate from bathroom sink is violently heavy and requires ridiculously careful manipulation to reduce to a reasonable level Overheard ano
