Holiday Inn Express & Suites Batavia - Darien Lake, an IHG Hotel

This Holiday Inn location exceeded our expectations! The service was thorough and polite and the price was reasonable for what we got, which was a double room with two beds. The room was very clean and organized-- no critters or weird stains/smells. Bathroom amenities were impressive, full sized body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, and lotion with plenty of towels AND a hair dryer. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and Keurig in the kitchenette. Breakfast service was outstanding with plenty of options to choose from. There were multiple varieties of cereal, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, turkey and pork sausage, a refrigerator with milk and yogurt, and multiple beverage options.

The hotel is really nice. It's very easy to get to from the highway. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff members were nice. Breakfast was fine. The only complaint I have is that they weren't able to provide me with a bill. I used a combination of points and payment and I still, several days later, haven't received a statement.

Our first impression was that we had made a good choice. The building, lobby, even the parking lot looked modern, clean and well taken care of. The lady who checked us in was very friendly.||When we got the room we were not disappointed. It kept the same modern/updated feel as the rest of the hotel and was equally clean and well taken care of. It was also fairly spacious including ample seating as well as luggage space. There was even a designed spot on a storage/dresser unit to open your suitcase. There were more than enough USB outlets which was appreciated. ||Our room had a walk-in shower instead of a tub which in my preference since very few people use tubs in hotels anyways. Made a spur the moment trip from Missouri to New York, with no hotel reservations made. Arrived at the Holiday Inn around 10:15pm. The lady working that night was wonderful! Very welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The 3rd floor room was spacious and CLEAN! Noise from other guests and nearby highway was pretty much nonexistent. I don’t know if it’s because I was exhausted and slept through it or if it truly is that quiet. I loved the Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap provided in the bathroom!! Booked a “suite” with two queen beds and a pullout sofa. We were given a regular room with no sofa- certainly not a suite. When I went to the front desk I was told that they only have one of those types of rooms and that it was not available and that I was given the room I booked. Went back to my room to confirm and the receipt said clearly that it included a sofa couch. I called the front desk back and was put on hold. After 10 minutes on hold, I hung up and called back only to be told by Jasmine that they get this all the time from people that book through Expedia and “I’m sorry for Expedia’s screw up but it’s not our fault” and “you can call Expedia”.
