Baymont by Wyndham Batavia - Darien Lake

This place offers excellent value for money. The room was fresh, and we particularly liked the flooring choice. Occasionally, we could hear movement from the room above, but we’re willing to trade that for the cleanliness. We prefer not to have the mystery hotel carpet that might not be clean. The location next to gas stations and Tim Hortons was great, and there was no road noise, which was a bonus. We’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you Debbie for a quick and friendly check in.

We booked directly through the hotel's website and pre-paid for a room for 1 night on 9/18/2025. The front desk associate gave us keys to our room. To our surprise, when we unlocked the door, the room was already occupied by other guests. We went back to the front desk who informed us the hotel was sold out for the night. Their only suggestion was to book at another property a few blocks away owned by the same management. We felt we had no other choice but to book a room at this other property because it was already past midnight. This other property was a dump and disgusting! On 9/19/2025, I called Frank Torcello, the Assistant General Manager of Baymont, who was surprised at the overbooking issue and questioned why the front desk associate directed us to their other fleabag motel

Exceeded All Expectations This hotel delivered beyond what you'd expect from a budget hotel. The place was clean and surprisingly quiet, with spacious, well-maintained rooms that made it easy to relax after a long day on the road. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the family running the hotel made it quick, easy and friendly. The breakfast spread was more than I expected: hot eggs and sausage, fresh waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt, and more. As a solo traveler, it was almost too much in the variety they offered. I stayed here during a brutal stretch of 10-degree snowy weather on a tough road trip back home, and this hotel was exactly the refuge I needed. Clean shower, comfortable bed, plenty of space—everything just worked. For the price, this place punches well above its weight

Positive: Close to Darien Lake Negative: The hotel smelled like mildew and the beds felt damp!! Will never stay there again....very disappointing for this hotel!

Right next to the interstate with a gas station and Tim Hortons right outside which was handy. This used to be a super crappy hotel but has since been renovated and rebranded. It’s very clean and everyone was super nice and helpful. The bathroom is the only negative! It’s TINY and the sink is right in front of the front door which is just really inconvenient especially in the winter when you have wet snowy shoes and walk right into the sink/bathroom area. Makes you feel dirty even in a very nice clean room. Otherwise a great place! Our microwave wasn’t working when we got in and within minutes they had someone there to look at it and brought a new one in case it needed replaced. Amazing service!!
