Hampton Inn Batavia

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences my family has ever endured. We checked in late on a Wednesday night, the parking lot and walkways were nothing but a sheet of ice. The guy at the front desk said our room number out loud for whoever wanted it to hear. We make it to our room, exhausted and ready for rest only to realize that our A/C unit in the room was full of mold, there were faulty nonworking outlets all over the room and the paint above the shower was flaking into the tub. When asked about the room via text message we mentioned our concerns and were then moved to another room down the hall. Upon entering the room, we found that the ceiling in the bathroom was also flaking, the soap holder in the shower was covered in mold, and the A/C didn't work properly to the point o

Booked hotel on the Hilton app with family and friends deal for $118! For a concert at Darien Lake, 7 months prior to the concert. The night before I got an email confirmation, everything was great! Started my drive to Batavia! As I was crossing the border I checked my emails! The hotel had cancelled my room at 11:34qm day of checking in! It was 12:11pm, I called hotel immediately after reading email! The hotel said they cancelled it as they tried to authorize my card without being there which should not have been done! I talked to management and they said my room was still available but at $400! Would not give me my room! I then called Hilton customer service and they told me what they did was not policy and not acceptable and callled the hotel twice to rectify the situation! Customer ser

Positive: Staff was very nice. Hotel was orderly and clean. Breakfast was good. Negative: Price was ridiculously high. Price for one night was nearly $-----. Be real, it's Batavia. I won't stay there again for price reasons.

We booked the hotel online through our app. When we arrived, there was no one at the desk so we rang the bell. This woman comes out, with bright red hair either high or we woke her up. She was a mess! She tried to check us in but was struggling. Then she left to go find her glasses and at this point we told her to just give us any room with a king size bed. She continued to complain that she had too much work to do. She finally gets us a room. We go to our room and it’s two double beds. There was no way we were going back downstairs to deal with her again. Rooms were clean, but you need to get some competent people at the front desk.

I hate having to post this review, but hopefully someone in charge will pay attention. I have been staying at this Hampton Inn for about 20 years, and have been very happy with it until my stay last week. The parking lot was covered in ice, as though no one plowed, snow melted, then refroze. The room was comfortable, but corners have been cut: no tissues, fewer trash baskets, no paper pads, cheap wall mounted toiletries, etc...The price (booked directly with hotel) was outrageous for midweek, off-season. With so many other hotels in Batavia, you would think competition would keep prices down. On my return trip the following weekend, I booked a more luxurious Marriott closer to Buffalo airport for $40 less.
