Red Lion Inn & Suites Elk Grove Village

Checked into the hotel and the smell was stale and smoky. The check in process was fairly simply. Rooms are small but we just needed a bed for the night. I woke up early for the breakfast and the only water they has was fountain water, no OJ or any drinks at all. The breakfast was old fruit sat out in a basket and what I think was a pancake maker but no meat or eggs and cereal with no milk definitely not a yogurt to go in sight.

Positive: It was very clean Negative: Yes, the breakfast was very poor. No milk, no juice, no yogurt, bread and begals were stale, muffins were too.

This hotel is nothing short of a 'COMPLETE DUMP'. In addition to their extremely rude employees, this HOTEL is filthy, smells of weed and curry and doesn't even deserve one (1) star (see photos). I've actually stayed at this property a total of three times and this being my last (Red Lion should be embarrassed to have their name on this property). Three times I've seen the same clerk upon checking in (a big heavy-set| East Indian guy). Not once has he ever even said 'hello', welcome back, welcome to Red Lion, nothing! it's always the same; "last name, credit card and drivers lisc. This visit I arrived to the hotel early (11:30am). I began the (sterile/unfriendly) check-in process and the clerk stated he would be charging me a $30 early check-in fee - to which I declined. He then sta

Room was clean. Yes place needs renovation. But it's fine for a 1 night stay. There is breakfast. Nothing I wanted just grab a coffee.

I made a reservation through Booking.com and unfortunately I was very disappointed with my experience. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff member who greeted us was unfriendly and rude. Even though I explained that I had a reservation, he did not assist us properly and spoke in a harsh manner. His appearance also seemed unprofessional. Because of this negative experience, I will not choose this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
