Howard Johnson by Wyndham Elk Grove Village/Chicago O'Hare

I found this place to be very clean, the room looked to have been recently renovated and painted, and I read from previous reviews that there was no refrigerator. I didn't need one. The front desk person was EXTREMELY friendly and courteous and I had a very interesting conversation with him. Overall, if I felt the need to return here, I would. It isn't the Waldorf Astoria, but you're paying a reasonable price for a clean room.

A step up from a tent. I get it was a basic room but this hotel wasn't even offering basic hotel essentials like fresh towels or taking out trash. We were there for 5 days/4nights and I had to ask for new towels. At which time the staff followed me to the room to pick up the dirty ones in exchange. Overheard another guest having to ask for toilet paper. I understand hotels now don't do a full turn over until you check out but a quick walkthrough would have been appreciated. A basic breakfast was what we told to expect during check-in...not even close. I don't know how old the milk was and the bread/bagels/ danish looked old.

Room is clean. Hallways smell like weed 24/7. No breakfast. Air conditioner is pre-programmed to keep room just barely cool enough, despite whatever buttons you press. Refrigerator and microwave look like they were stolen from a college student dorm. Bathroom is surprisingly nice, recently remodeled, and spacious. Priced a bit too high overall. Circulate the weed/air out of the hallways and get breakfast going again if you want five stars for this price.

No coffee. Disgustingly dirty. Light in bathroom is automatic and takes at least 2 mins to shut off, which isn't great at 4:30am. The phone light will not stop blinking. This place is GROSS and overpriced. $170 for a night and 6 days of parking is too much. Update: Thank you for your reply. I forgot to mention that when I went to use the bathroom the first time, the seat was up and it looked like urine was in the toilet. I do appreciate your reply, however! I didn't say anything to y'all while I was there, and that's on me. I will definitely give you all another try. My apologies for not attempting to contact you with these issues.

Unfortunately, the room I booked wasn’t so pleasant. Upon entering the room, I was greeted with the nasty smell of cigarette and it was all over the room and funny part is that it was supposedly a smoke free room! Upon inspecting the bathroom, a fly was buzzing around and ended getting into the room itself and I couldn’t get to the fly fast enough to swat it so I had to live with that nuisance! Going back to the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken as well! To combat the smell I purchased a can of air freshener from the nearby grocery store along with a glade plug in which helped tremendously! Now I rented this room as a cheap place to crash after attending a concert at Allstate Arena but even so, a better level of care should be provided! At the end of the day however, it fulfills its pu
