Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center Ellensburg

Never have I ever stayed at a place like this. 1st room i was given room 112, dirty upon opening the door. Sheets on the floor, pillows tgrown everywhere, trash on the floor to. (Mistakes happen i thought) i returned the key explained the issue, another room given to me. Room 122, ok. Were ready off I go. I opened the door and exactly the same thing (minus the trash) but sheets on the floor, pillows thrown around. Ok, now Im getting annoyed. I explain to receptionist who i asked to look at room with me so she knew i wasnt being over the top. She confirmed it was infact dirty still. Ok, 3rd attempt. Room 116. That was short lived as the door wouldnt even unlock/open. So door is broken. Back to receptionist. Going to look at a room on 2nd floor. Finally it was clean and the door opene

Hotel needs groundskeeping and love. Rooms: CLEAN SHEETS, clean rooms— for what can be cleaned. The rooms are outdated and need renovation, but clean. Bed comfort: if you like FIRM this is your place. The mattress was really firm, sheets are clean— those we traveled with said the same— firm. *** we check for bed bugs at every hotel we go to, none here, but— mattresses ARE NOT in mattress protectors—just fyi. Lobby was nice. Agents were nice and presentable. Key cards: you cannot access any doors besides lobby after 10 as they’re not equipped for their keycard system. Pool: you seen the other reviews, it’s down. I called before we went and front desk agent said, “I think it might be up.” — Breakfast: subpar, but your here because the rooms are inexpensive, so you get what you pay for

Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly. Unfortunately some of the amenities weren’t available, but it was obvious that the property was in somewhat of a transitional stage but served its purpose well as a quiet, clean place to get some good sleep. The continental breakfast included make it yourself waffles and they were delicious.|The night before arriving at this property I spent the night at a hotel in Boise that seriously had me questioning my life choices, so arriving here was truly a breath of fresh air in comparison. No riff raff hanging about, plenty of parking, and tons of close fast food choices made this location a perfect choice.

We booked here for 3 reasons. 1. Close to freeway 2. Indoor pool. Need to swim laps. 3. Fitness center. Indoor pool closed for season?? Fitness center closed for construction? 1 out of 3. 8:15 Sunday morn. Worst breakfast bar. All the breads were stale (hard as a rock), out of waffle batter and syrup. Milk jug was empty. Tea water was tepid. Never replenished from the night before. Room was fine though.

The location was great, it was a quiet room with a clean bed. The included breakfast was not great- likely because there were very few rooms in use when we went. There were a few hard boiled eggs, bagels, and waffles. Cereal, but no milk. It worked to get us on our way & there is a Starbucks next door for a good cup of coffee.
