TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ellensburg

Writing this review at 6:45am after waking up at 1:45, 3:27, and 4:15; it is safe to say I just had the worst night of sleep that I can remember. This is not our first stay, we stayed here shortly after the hotel opened and I remembered these mattresses weren’t the best then either, but almost 2 years later, these mattresses might as well be stacked cardboard with sheets on them. As these hotels are new, we don’t expect the “mattresses” will be replaced for the next 5-10 years. It is for this reason, that this will be our last stay (unless we hear differently). If you are looking for a “good nights rest”, steer clear of here. The breakfast has also gone downhill.. oatmeal is usually a reliable choice but this is the first time I’ve ever seen it so watery at any hotel. I don’t expect anyone

Because this location is a Marriott, we had high expectations, especially spending Thanksgiving away from home. Visually pleasing. The room is straight out of an Ikea display which was fine. The price was reasonable, especially for a holiday. The bed and pillows were terrible. The bed was like sleeping on the floor and the pillows were flat. All I wanted was a comfortable stay. The shower pressure was also dismal. Thin walls. I wouldn't stay here again and will tell friends and family about our stay.

Lots of space, modern and clean. Very quiet despite being near highways and a railroad track. Decent breakfast. Fairly isolated. The only complaint is that the shower is only enclosed halfway, allowing lots of water to get on the floor. Heating and ventilation are unobtrusive. We have stayed there before and will again.

Stopped leaving coffee in the room for some reason even though I left a tip. Also they didn't have milk several days during breakfast but kept offering cold cereal and other items that need milk. There is a circle k across the road and several nearby grocery stores that sell milk every day. I guess it isn't a priority. Next time we are in town in a few months we will stay somewhere else.
