Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Newark International Airport

I stay here 4 times a year when I visit my loved one whom resides at the prison next door. Saves me so much money having it next to airport and the prison seeing as how I live in St Louis. I can see a lot of people don't like the "prison view." Well it is convenient for me. I have enjoyed each one of my stays. And will continue to book here ✌🏼🫶🏼✈️🧳

Honestly, I wanted to like it because the staff is amazing. Super courteous, friendly, and helpful. However, the actual hotel is quite dated. The beds are comfortable but the furniture looks worn, the bathrooms have fixed shower heads and the water pressure can either be great one shower or non-existent the next (in the sense that the water turns off mid shower) . The restaurant is great though and the dessert is bomb. We will try avoiding another stay here but it is only because of the lack of updates to the structure itself.

The airport shuttle runs every half hour which was really helpful since our flight from California didn't arrive until 1am. I called the hotel to learn the shuttle was already on it's way. The ride to the hotel was fairly long and check in was a breeze. The king bed was great and the room was clean, a good deal for the price. The bathroom fans were incredibly dusty.

The hotel is nice! The cleaning good be a little bit better, there was a lot of dirt on the walls and the shower needed the be thoroughly cleaned. But the beds are comfy and the staff was great and super accommodating. Antonio on the night crew gave us exceptional service when we checked in super late after a funeral.

Nice rooms. The restaurant at the hotel was very comfortable n the food was good. Would recommend to have a room on the upper floors for a quiet stay. The place gets very busy at times. The shuttle to the airport was on time with no problems. The pickup at the airport after our return was good. Had about a 25 minute wait. Our car was not damaged after parking in their lot for 8 days. I was very concerned about damage. I would use the hotel again for my futures travels out of Newark airport.
