Quality Inn & Suites Palm Island Indoor Waterpark

I am been a choice member for several years and I have never really felt the need to post on these surveys until today. The hotel was filthy. My bed was broken. The walls had stains all over them then night stands were covered in grime. The remote was so crusty that once I noticed it I just unplugged the tv instead of using it and my curtains were half down .This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I had gone out to get take out and forgot silverware I called the front desk thinking that since the hotel served continental breakfast they would have at least a fork. No they had only spoons. He did bring a spoon which I thanked him for. The hallways were dim and dingy and there is a very musty almost moldy smell, the elevator lights were blinking and it was extremely dirty. The whole

The hallway outside of our non-smoking room absolutely stunk of cigarettes and some nasty food, like people were cooking three-course meals in their hotel rooms. On the second day, the food stench crept into our room, making it smell like someone was frying rotting meat. Carpets were worn down to the underlayment. The parking lot was poorly maintained from recent snow, and I fell twice unloading my vehicle (I wasn't injured... just annoying). Our non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and overwhelming chemical air fresheners, the heat seemed to only have one mode; it was too cold to turn it off, but even if we set it on low at 60 degrees, it still blasted hot air all night and overheated the room. Do not do this to yourself. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but I need to warn families. Please read. Here are the facts:|*waterpark/pool only open on Saturday and Sunday.|* every sheet, pillowcase, couch and cushion had a stain or burn hole and appeared to be dirty|* the room smelled like a mix between a gym shoe and mold|* there was some sort of fly infestation in the bathroom|* bathroom sink was splashed with red substance. |* arcade had three working games|* workout room “temporarily” closed.|* everything seemed dirty in some way- carpets, every single surface. |* ok breakfast|* nice front desk staff

This hotel should be condemned and destroyed. It is absolutely filthy everywhere We were given a room that literally had no plugs to plug in fridge, coffee maker or microwave. TV was plugged in but did not work. Had to move to a different room. The drawers looked like they were from 1800's no exaggeration. Handles falling off. The location is great because it's right down the road from Batavia Downs. If my husband wasn't in a dart tournament here I would have packed up and went there.

This place has so much potential, especially when you first walk in to a huge room that is very dull. My room I guess would be average. Except for a few things, old coffee in the coffee pot mold where the water reservoir. The beds need to be upgraded with new. They're very old and stained. There were stains on my sheets and on the mattress itself. Furniture is in rough shape, tiny little TV is a joke. My refrigerator didn't work and smelled funny. The filter for the HVAC should be cleaned weekly (just vacuum them off). With the location of this place and how big it is and the fact they offer a water park indoors, there's so much potential for this location. I can't believe half protection is not enough.That corporate is not investing the money into this place.To make it what it could be.
