Quality Inn & Suites Irving DFW Airport South

Typicall budget hotel close to an airport. My room was a bit rough and used reasonably clean. The staff was really helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was really limited. Honestly I was really just passing through really quickly maybe 6 total hours at the property. The shuttle to the airport runs hourly not every half hour like the hotline says.

The night receptionist,(young lady) was very nice, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, roomy and met our needs. Housekeepers were very efficient. I rated 7 because of the constant slamming of room doors, as well as the exterior door next to room #102. I stayed 2 nights and both nights the baby was abruptly awaken due to the noise. I also wished breakfast included warm food such as eggs and sausage, but otherwise it was fine.

Flight got canceled at the airport so we needed a hotel. I called the front desk to inquire about getting a bus to the hotel from the airport as they were complimentary with a canceled flight. I was told to go wait for a bus for 30 minutes to be picked up. So not only did the receptionist fail to mention we needed a reservation at all to get on the bus (neither airport or hotel staff gave us any instructions on bus info and bookings so we have never done this before). But the bus was very late as it came over an hour and a half minutes later. 3 times the amount of the promised time. We were given no instructions and had nearly 2 hours wasted. Bus driver was no help, as I told him repeatedly we had no reservation and were never told to make one. A previous bus driver even mentioned that thi

Had to stay overnight here after American delayed our flight and caused a missed connection. Shuttle was easy to get picked up, however it only runs on the hour back to the airport in the morning. I wanted a 4:30am, we had to do 4am. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable.

We had a terrible experience with the courtesy van service. The text system provides false expectations, when followed by a phone call, the information on the phone did not match up with the system. We waited 45 minutes on a van that was to arrive in 10, others waiting with us were waiting for far longer on the same van with yet another string of information. If the systems and other relates source of information were to provide the true answer, regardless of what the answer was, it would equip customers to clearly identify best courses of action with respect to how to get to the hotel. We lost an hour of sleep to the inefficiency of this disparate set of systems, where precious few hours could be had (4 hours max to properly catch our rebooted flight the same morning).
