Quality Inn Santa Cruz Downtown Area

For a recent trip to Santa Cruz, I was looking for a straightforward, affordable place to stay, and the Quality Inn on Ocean Street fit the bill perfectly. Overall, I found it to be a great value for the price, offering a clean and comfortable room without any frills. The hotel's best feature is its cleanliness. The room I stayed in felt fresh and well-maintained, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The staff was also a big highlight—the person who checked me in was friendly and helpful, and they made the whole process smooth. Room has plumbing issue & smell very terrible around the 2 queen beds area. I asked for refund after about 15 minutes in the room. Has to move to 3 different rooms within the first 45 minutes of checking in. Asked for refund but refused by one & only front desk employee. Was told owner is not here & can not issued refund. This is the worst hotel/motel ever.

The location is a major highlight. Situated on Ocean Street, it offers quick and easy access to both downtown Santa Cruz and the famous Beach Boardwalk. We were able to get to all the main attractions within a short drive, and there are several restaurants and shops within walking distance. This makes it a perfect choice for travelers who want to be close to the action without paying a premium. The customer service here is amazing! Denise was very kind and helpful along with the man who works the front desk. The rooms were very clean and something noticable was the water pressure! It was spacious and more than enough for a family of 4. Breakfast had a waffle maker, juices, and smaller things for kids like yogurt etc. This is a good location if you want a more quiet stay away from rollercoaster screams. You can still hear the seagulls and are only a 8 minute drive from the boardwalk! Very accommodating staff and extremely kind I highly recommend this hotel.
