Quality Inn Redding near I-5

Kate, the receptionist, exemplifies professionalism and hospitality—attentive, courteous, and consistently going above and beyond to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay. We were assigned room 215 and the room below us had their door open and were doing open air drugs. Their motel room looked like they had been living there for a long time. Meanwhile there was a person exhibiting the “fentanyl-fold” and rolling around on a tricycle scooter in the parking lot. It was pouring rain at the time. ||The whole complex has an unsafe feeling. Cypress Road is sketchy, and it felt as if the druggies all stayed at the Quality Inn. ||Where we parked it smelled of fresh gasoline. Usually that means someone was siphoning fuel from people cars. ||||Our room had an almost inoperable door and it took about 4-5 mins of swiping and turning the handle until it finally broke free. ||We examined the room and the sheets were yellow and the top cover thing was literally dirty. ||We

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Ben, who helped me carry my luggage up the stairs to my room. The room was very clean and well organized, and for the most part, the property was quiet that night. Unfortunately, there was a lump in my bed right where my hip bones wanted to rest, so I didn't sleep very well, no matter how many times I changed position. But that's really the only downside. The property is well positioned near the freeway and close to places to eat.

The room smells like disinfectant. I had to open the windows. The Wi-Fi is just about non-existent. It went out at about 7 PM and was still off at 7:30 AM when I checked out. I called the front desk four times during the evening and no one ever answered. I mentioned it to the people at the front desk when I checked out and their comment to me was what do you expect us to do about it? What I expect him to do is to call spectrum and fix it . The room itself looks pretty rundown with cracks in the flooring patches in the walls that are very obvious. It looks like an old rundown hotel that you tried to just put some makeup on. It FELT strangely cold as in similar to a hospital room… big and empty no charm or warmth. It “felt” unclean for some odd reason, outdated, however, the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff l liked they were very nice and friendly. Traveling on a budget, so the price was decent. No l would not recommend
