Holiday Inn Express Redding North – Shasta Lake by IHG

I am travel in medical professional. My fiance and I decided to rent a room together as we both were scheduled to be in Redding. I didn't feel like a paying guess by the manager the whole time. She treated me like was a transient when I walked in to get breakfast. And I later found out she informed other staff members to pay attention to my dog being a nuisance. There was never any complaints about my dog and my dog is never alone nor barks. For someone that should be setting the example for the staff this manager doesn't express hospitality to the guests. The other staff were nice and professional. I won't be returning to this location.

This is my favorite hotel in Redding. Not only is the hotel lovely and the location is very easy to get to, but the customer care of the staff was unmatched. After dealing with Expedia booking, which I will never do again, the hotel was able to sort out and solve a booking issue that Expedia claimed was not possible. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to never using Expedia again and booking directly with the staff.

The hotel was very clean, the beds comfortable, and all the amenities needed for an overnight+ stay. The rooms are also quite large. It was a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was simple (the pancake machine was down) but way better than a packaged grab-and-go (yogurt, oatmeal, cinnamon rolls, etc, available). The walls are a bit thin towards the hallway, and the wire to our room phone was missing, but overall, we recommend this hotel and will stay again when passing through Lake Shasta.

The first room we were given, had a dirty toilet. The second room we were given The door was wide open. The pillows were not situated on the bed, and the bathtub was not finished being clean. The third room we were given, had hair on the toilet and stains on the bedspread and the sheets where they had not washed the linens. They weren’t just stains. we decided to leave the hotel. The lady at the front desk could not give me a printed cancellation confirmation and she couldn’t send me an email confirmation of the cancellation. I called corporate headquarters. To make sure that it was canceled and that I was not charged for the room. They asked the reason why I was leaving. I told them. And , she was like have a good night. Stayed for one night on a road trip. Breakfast was well stocked. Very clean. Enjoyed the oatmeal bar and OJ. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Towels were clean and fluffy.
