Comfort Suites Redding - Shasta Lake

conveniently located for a road motel. rooms are spacious, but not nice. can easily hear neighboring rooms televisions (bring a noise machine!). rooms feel lacking in cleanliness. hair sticking out of sink grout. pet friendly, but our dog kept licking flavor spots off the carpet and baseboards (ewww). shower curtain is tattered and isnt long enough for the tub, so you get water everywhere. the blanket on the king bed seems to be queen-sized, tough for 2 people to share. as im trying to fall asleep there is a small bright green light in the ceiling strobing once a second. relaxing. they have luggage carts, which is nice, but for the price it’s very hard to recommend this place.

Very impressed with this hotel. Very handy to the freeway and plenty of parking outside. Our room was very spacious complete with a nice sitting area. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained. We had a fridge and microwave in the room, plus a somewhat noisy AC unit which kept the room cool on a hot autumn day. Internet and TV both worked perfectly. The included breakfast was basic but good – plenty of choices there. The gym was small and basic, just a few pieces of cardio and a set of dumbbells. Not really the greatest for a weights workout, though if you’re just after cardio it should suffice. Overall we liked this place and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Pretty sure the walls were made of paper because I could hear every word spoken by my neighbors, who weren't even being loud. Also, my room had sort of a funky smell when I got there. Bed was comfy and room was roomy though, and I was able to air out the room. Idk, if you bring earplugs you might be fine.

We had a nice stay at this Comfort Inn. The staff was very accommodating and I can't say enough good things about Melissa who takes exceptional care of the morning breakfast! It was always clean and there was a good selection of foods for everyone. I didn't use the pool area, but I can say our room was comfortable and everyone was welcoming!

overall the place is good. The food is good but inconsistent. For example the sausage was warm outside, but cool inside, so not completely cooked through. The egg dishes and self-made waffles are fine. Coffee is good. The Guacamole is a nice touch! Keep that! Rooms are large. Front staff is nice. I bring a trailer so the trailer parking in front is good but need to keep them for trailers and motorhomes. Keeping cars out of those slots can be difficult. Room is overall clean but somewhat dark. A central light in the room on ceiling would be nice. TV channel selections are very good.
