Quality Inn Perrysburg - Toledo South

First I'll preface this review with the fact that you will not find a better value/price for a room in the area. I stayed in a suite and had no problems whatsoever during our stay. One has to remember that this is an older hotel that has been updated. It was clean and staff was very accommodating and friendly. I asked for extra towels and was given them immediately. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast, with waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage. The man hosting breakfast was amazingly gracious and helpful --a kind-spoken man with an accent. This is not a five star hotel where you can expect everything to be perfect. There were small insignificant details that needed attention. For instance, one day there were no towels at the pool. I was here with my dog. I had to switch my room twice because my first room was flooded and my stuff was ruined. I told them I have a dog and they said I was fine. I used a towel to clean up after my dog and they won’t give me my deposit back because the towel was dirty. How else am I supposed to clean up after my dog? Horrible experience.

This was a tough review because my first stay back in November 2025 was pretty good. This time was pretty much the same except for the swimming pool. My wife and I were in town for the night and wondered why no one was in the pool like last time we stayed there. Once we got inside the room we noticed a film floating on top of the water. There were no jets on filtering water. The water was pretty much stagnant. Most importantly, in the deep end there appears to be a light missing and there's just a gaping hole that should be covered even if the light doesn't work. Instead it's just exposed to the water which seems a bit dangerous if you ask me. My wife and I were put off by that and not to mention the strong urine smell around the tables by the pool. This hotel is fine. Not exceptional but good enough for a stay. Beds are squeaky but comfortable. Our room was clean as well as the surrounding areas. We were told the pool opens at 6am as well as the in room guide, but pool actually doesn't open until 9am, so if you have an early morning like us, don't promise your kids they are going to the pool in the morning.

Good stay breakfast was overrated. Powdered eggs (yuck). Sausage was good yogurt selection and breads were good. Pool overdue for a much needed cleaning
