Portside inn & suites

This hotel could easily be a great place to stay, but it seems like they are having to cut corners on quality. No iron, lotion, blow dryer, shampoo or conditioner. Website states there is food available in vending machines, but that’s not the case unless soda is a food. My curtain wouldn’t close all the way, so the desk person came and creatively used paper clips to help hold it together. There is a very nice coffee/pastry shop nearby. You can easily walk to your cruise ship, if that’s where you’re headed.

Positive: This hotel has a great location if you are going on a cruise or an excursion. You can also leave your car at the hotel for a week at a cheaper price than parking at the cruise terminal. The beds were clean but not the hotel itself. Negative: From the pictures, we actually thought it was a nicer hotel than it is.

As a 2 star, this place is great! It is an older building and it could benefit from a refresh in places, but we found it inviting, clean and safe for the night we were there. We were in a room with no carpet looking out at the Maritime Museum. Great location with great food options nearby and a lovely harbor walk. Sidenote for those commenting on sheets. I've never seen a fitted sheet used in a hotel, always well tucked flat sheets.

I was looking for somewhere to stay a last minute flight and all the decent hotels near there was sold out …|Decided to go for Portside Inn and Suite because of the photos on the website it seemed decent and it was close to the cruiseport and it was just for one night …||The inside of the Inn was dated, ancient meaning old, rundown and gloomy and stayed on the 3rd floor…The owners could at least take a little more time to renovate and brighten up the place even with some fresh paint, carpet in room was dirty and stained and grimy looking ,..went to plug in my phone to charged and outlet fixture by my bed side had no cover jus bare electrical hole looking at me with the 2 socket …fridge was not working so they placed an old beat up tiny fridge under the lamp table with stains all over

DISGUSTING!!! We stayed here because it was close to the cruise terminal. NEVER again!! Absolutely disgusting! The mattress was so old & stained, no fitted sheet or mattress protector. The whole place smells of mold, mildew & cigarettes. The staff hardly acknowledged us. I couldn't sleep because I felt so disgusting laying on a crusty mattress. The shower, bath & sink had someone else's hair all over, the floors were covered in dirt, most the outlets dont work & furniture is riddled in crusty stains. Musky, filthy & disgusting. I would rather sleep on a park bench than stay there again! Never been somewhere so expensive & filthy!
