Port Inn and Suites Portsmouth, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Very cute room, clean and quiet. Perfect if you want to stay close by to everything in Portsmouth and Kittery. Breakfast doesn’t have a ton of hot options but the workers were very nice. There are other paid options near by too. We would definitely come back for a night or weekend getaway!

We stayed one night on our way to Maine in Room 116, 2 full size beds. We arrived in the evening to a warm personable desk clerk who checked us in and told us that our room was ready and that if we needed hot tea or coffee, the lobby was open. Our room was very clean and beds were so comfortable! The room included coffee service, iron, board, microwave, and ice bucket with cups. The bathroom was spotless and the water pressure was great! I highly recommend Port Inn and Suites. Great location and with lots of parking.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I want to start by saying that many of the staff members were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. The team working during most of my stay was kind, upbeat, and truly made me feel comfortable during a very stressful time. However, I did have a negative experience with one front desk employee named Ellen. She was not warm or friendly and made me feel unwelcome from the moment I arrived. Her attitude came across as impatient and uninterested in helping, which is difficult when you’re already under stress. She did not smile, was short with her responses, and didn’t show the level of hospitality I would expect from someone working at the front desk. I genuinely feel that a customer-facing role may not be the right position for her based on the experi

Our room has a very noticeable tilt to the floor. The chair and my luggage kept rolling to the door. Even the toilet was on a slant. The bed was also tipped and not very comfy. Clean and warm did the job. And for the price, okay. I would not stay here again however.

Quick, easy check-in. Friendly desk staff. Spacious rooms. It is an older hotel so it's had a lot of use over time which does show up. But it is perfect for our needs and for the amount of time we're there. Always appreciate the hotel being pet friendly, and for a room on the first floor with direct access to the outside (no corridor).
