OYO Hotel Irving DFW Airport North

My actual rating is a minus 100 stars this place shouldn't even be in business I'm shocked they are allowed to be part of the VRBO site. It's obvious VRBO doesn't check the places that post on their website. DO NOT BOOK. This is a complete scam. OYO is not a physical hotel, though they advertise that way. They do not make reservations for the motel that actually exists there (Studio 6). They make it unbearably impossible to get a refund, and when you cancel, they charge you the full amount. They have circular automated phone chats, and you can't get a hold of anyone. This is a SCAM. Do NOT book. Even so, this motel is horrible. There were bugs all over the room, even just 2 minutes walking in/looking around. The building is falling apart, every room smells (the hallways smell like urine) and there were roach clips and real cockroaches.

I booked this hotel through the Oyo website and was told that oyo doesn’t own this property anymore and to get a refund. Apparently they haven’t owned the property for a year now and they are still taking reservations (first clue of nefarious activity). It’s been nearly 3 weeks since then and when i call they always switch the story. First it was, we’re working your refund, then it was your refund has been approved, then it wasn’t approved, and now it’s supposedly approved but only by the property and not the corporate office (strike one). Now they refuse to send me an email saying that it was approved (sketchy and strike 2). They are actively trying NOT to issue the refund and lying as if they are. This place sucks the rooms smelled the door didn’t lock right the hallways smelled like weed. If we weren’t desperate we would have never chosen this place!! We will sleep in the car next time!!!
