My brothers and I took a weeklong fishing trip to the Boundary Waters area. To say it was beautiful is a huge understatement. The air and water were exceptionally clean. After arriving at Trail's End Outfitters and being towed to American Point we began our adventure. After canoeing over 10 miles and making portage twice, including Monument Portage, we arrived at our campsite, a large granite dome rising above the pristine waters of the lake. It was a great campsite and a prime launching point for each day's fishing trials. I highly recommend the Boundary Waters are for anyone who wishes to get back to nature. There is certainly plenty of it available
The entrance to the campsite is hard to find amongst trees, but you can see it atop the rock and the views are quite stunning.
Not sure if I should admit this, but this is the most beautiful campsite I have ever stayed at.
