Piney Woods Retreat in Ely, Minnesota - Vacation Cabin Rental

I have traveled extensively all around the country and cannot say enough good things about the most beautiful cabin I’ve ever stayed in my entire life. The excitement starts as soon as you turn down the beautiful windy and snowy driveway with pines all around you. Then the beautiful cabin emerges through the trees. It is equipped with everything and then some. Lindsay has thought of everything and she is very responsive and wants to make sure you have everything you need and that you enjoy your stay. It is the coziest place that you will never want to leave. You’re in the middle of the woods with nothing but silence. The bed upstairs is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on and I’ve slept better than ever. Every detail has been thought of. Clear directions are provided on everything.

Piney Woods is such a wonderful retreat! Very relaxing and spacious. Plenty of room for the 5 of us! The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and the beds are super comfy! Especially the bed in the loft! Wonderful! ❤️ We shopped, picnicked and hiked and during the day at nearby trails, and bonfires at night! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again! Loved it!

We had a girls weekend at Piney woods and it was great! There was 6 of us and there was plenty of room for all! Kitchen is fully stocked, beds and couch are very comfy and the views were spectacular! I highly recommend the short walk to Pickarel lake. Beautiful! The cabin is cozy and had everything you needed! We’re already planning next years trip back! Second time staying at Piney Woods. This spot is special. Located right outside Bear Head Lake State Park and just 20 min from downtown Ely you have the best of both worlds. The house is clean, comfortable and has all you could need. The owners pay attention to the important details. There is plenty to explore on the property itself and beyond. All pictures are on the property or within short walk. This property and cabin has far exceeded my expectations twice. Look forward to next time!

Piney Woods was an amazing place to enjoy our family vacation! The cabin was perfect for all seven of us, ages 4 and up. Cozy beds and plenty of space. We loved the walk to the lake to watch the loons, making s’mores around the fire, playing bean bags and cards, and making family dinners in the well stocked kitchen. Short drive into Ely for shopping and lunch. The glass house was awesome. This place is magical with all the pines and ferns. Truly made for an epic family vacation!
