The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was construction going on outside the hotel but that's not the hotel's fault. They didn't have a TV that you could watch YouTube and stuff on like at other hotels, which was kind of a bummer, but they had HBO channels so I wasn't too bothered by that. I'd say the two big things that knock the rating of this hotel down are: 1. The breakfast. All the reviews were saying how wonderful the breakfast was and how much of a variety it had. I had my hopes up because of this and because it kept calling it a breakfast buffet. I suppose that was technically true but I had the same breakfast at a La Quinta 2 months prior and this was only a half a step above that. They only had two hot dishes, along with waffle makers. There was no bacon, which I w
The reviews for this hotel were mixed, but I tried to believe the negative ones were just rare cases. Boy, was I wrong.||My first room had a smelly carpet and the AC couldn't be adjusted, so I asked to switch rooms. The second room seemed fine at first, until I noticed a bed bug crawling on my pillow.||Also, there were people sitting on the floor near the entrance/exit, which didn't make me feel safe.||The only positive was that my refund request was approved quickly by Hotels.com and the manager.
Our experience was solid. Here are my pros and consPros: The pricing was fair. Rooms, for the most part, are clean and maintained. Rooms are spacious. The position of the aircon is good, doesn't blow straight at you like some other places. The Room didn't smell. Both the shower and sink have good water pressure. The service was solid, the lady we met was welcoming and she got straight to the point. Rooms are equipped with a microwave and fridge which is convenient. The beds are spacious and the mattress is supportive.Cons. The carpet in the room as well as the tiles in the bathroom are a bit sticky. Not sure if that's due to the high moisture or if they are not cleaned well. Some might find it nasty. The gym only has a cable machine which is alright but some more equipment would have been
I enjoyed my stay. I did not take advantage of the free breakfast but I was told it was a hot breakfast with eggs and sausage. There is also a fitness center that is accessible 24 hours. It felt safe because in order to enter the building you need a key card so not anyone can have access. I give it 4 and not 5 stars because I could hear the people above me walking and I’m a light sleeper and that kept me up.
Our room maintained comfortable temperature throughout our stay regardless of how hot it got outside, the AC unit responded well to adjustments and never made excessive noise keeping us awake, small things like functional climate control make huge differences in overall comfort especially during Texas summers
