Customer Reviews
First time at the Ocean Pacific Lodge. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Property was similar to a Super 8, Quality Inn, or Days Inn sort of room. Room was large, clean, and even though bathroom showed its' age, had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Pillows were not the most comfortable, one of the bed frames squeaked, and neither chair in room was comfortable for long amounts of time, but there were two, and a large desk, microwave and bigger minifridge. Property location was great for us, with easy access to Hwy 1, and was very walkable, with less than 20 minutes to the end of the wharf, end of the boardwalk, probably everything downtown, and the Surfer Statue on West Cliff. We were in a room with connecting doors, so we could hear the TV next door, and pretty much
We got a good welcome. Our room seems to be an accessible room. It is clean with comfy beds. Too chilly to check out the pool |Be sure to get a window tag for parking
I liked the room and found a nice price. Parking was easy. I had a bottom floor room, could hear the foot steps of guest above me. Shower was pretty low pressure. I like the larger fridge but freezer was iced up. They have 2 spas. One was taped off and the other one wouldn’t turn on. I called and nobody offered to check it out. I couldn’t understand the answers.
We booked a 2 bed unit(sleeps 4) upon checking in my wife listed 3 but added a 4th person at which point she became upset and said she was gonna charge extra for that 4th person, why are you charging extra for a 4 person unit????? It's unbelievable some of the charges hotels can get away with these days.
We had a last minute booking for a weekend in Santa Cruz to visit the Boardwalk. We were looking for a family friendly hotel. The location is great, it is walking distance from the Boardwalk. The pictures of the outside of the hotel are definitely enhanced, in person the hotel looks dull and their sign is faded. We were on the second floor, upon entering the room it looks nice. I turned on the ac and it was struggling but eventually got temperature where we wanted. Two of the shutters were broken and forced to remain closed which kept the room darker than we like. The bathroom is terrible and the light in there is much too soft, it’s too dark. It wasn’t the bath, walls or floor alone. The entire bathroom needs to be redone. The carpet is also very dirty. It’s a dark blue, I believe w
