Norwood Inn & Suites Merrillville

Used to be LaQuinta Inn, recently Renovated Rooms on the 1st Floor now renovating the rooms on the 2nd Floor,The Staff is very Friendly particularly Stacy &MaMa,The rooms are very Clean and the Towels are very Clean better than Quality Inn Towels

My recent stay at Norwood Inn & Suites Merrillville was absolutely delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The hotel's elegant decor and inviting ambiance immediately set the tone for a memorable experience. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities I could need. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. I can't recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a perfect getaway in the heart of the city.

Do not stay here, right now at least! The new owners are trying to remodel and still stay open. There's trash all out in the parking lot making you not even want to go in. I made a reservation online only to go to check in and them tell me due to remodeling they're not working at full capacity so all their rooms are booked! So why am I still able to make a RESERVATION online?! Had to go to motel 6 down the street and they had roaches. Thanks for an inconvenient night! Close down until you're ready for business! Also, no wifi.

80% of the windows were broken, the guy at reception was in the back room with his feet up on his phone, card for room didn't work (second floor and stairs only), went down THREE TIMES to actually get a card that worked. Went in room, floor was dirty, bedding was stained, went to wash my hands and the water went down the drain directly to the floor!!!! THEN someone was trying to open the door!! To top it off their was some woman walking around in underwear at the reception. If you want to stay at a place that is absolutely disgusting and has sex workers that's the spot!! I immediately requested a refund even after he offered a "better" room. Somehow I highly doubt their was a better room. The entire place smelt like mold and musty. This place should be shut down immediately

Absolutely disgusting! We did not even stay!!!! We booked a room w 2 queen beds for 3 adults and were asked if we would accept a king room. Obviously not. Then they found us a room as far away from front as possible, even though there were hardly any guests. As we walked the hallway, we saw outside doors propped open w chairs, broken or missing door handles or door lock panels, damaged, soiled carpets, water stains, fans to dispell the musty smells. Obviously there are some major issues with water damage. Then room key did not work. Went all the way back to front desk. Got new key, which again did not work. Asked an employee moving a laundry cart if he could open the door. He did not speak English. He talked something into his phone which translated for him. We entered the room, it reeked
