Newport Harbor Island Resort

I had a wonderful stay at Newport Harbor Island Resort. I came here for a leadership retreat, and everything was great. The location is absolutely stunning, and the views were truly amazing—perfectly capturing the charm and beauty of Newport. The property is well maintained and has a relaxing, upscale island vibe that makes you feel like you’re on a true getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The grounds and amenities were enjoyable, especially spending time by the water—it’s a great place to unwind and reflect between sessions. As a traveler in mid 20s i thought this place was nice. Me and my SO are pretty independent so I’ll be it we barely had any interactions with staff but when we did it was positive. The rooms were nice, a lot better than cookie cutter hotels and you can tell they go above and beyond with decoration and aesthetics. We had a waterview room and it was quite nice. We stayed only a weekend in the middle of cold winter so we didn’t experience much of what the hotel really has to offer. I would say this hotel is definitely aimed toward an older crowd (but all of newport really is that way to begin with anyway). We did feel a little out of place but Rooms, view, property all were good enough to get a positive review from us.

We got married the day after Thanksgiving and 10/10 would recommend a winter wedding at this venue. It was beautifully decorated, the food was great, no one had to wait in line for a drink and the staff, from servers to the lead event manager(s) were kind, attentive and ready to help make the day perfect. They also had other programming on the property that weekend which made for a very festive experience all of our guests. They made everything easy, one stop shop, for the most part, and we were able to celebrate with 215 of our loved ones who are still talking about how great of a weekend they had. We look forward to celebrating many anniversary’s here in the future!
