OK LET ME EXPLAIN, I DID NOT GET A ROOM AT THIS MOTEL, BUT A FRIEND OF MINE JUST HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AT HIS HOUSE, WELL ITS NOT A HOUSE ANYMORE. HE HAD A TERRIBLE FIRE THAT LITERALLY LEFT NOTHING BUT THE FOUNDATION AND THE BULKHEAD. HE GOT A REALLY GOOD DEAL FROM THIS MOTEL IF HE PAID UP FRONT FOR A MONTH. THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS BEEN INCREDIBLE TOWARDS HIM VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CARING. THEY HAD A FUNDRAISER FOR HI ONLINE AND RAISED OVER $18,000 FOR HIM AND HIS 2 DAUGHTERS. HE IS A SINGLE FATHER WITH 2 JOBS 🙏🥺👍💰

I had written a review on this very same hotel, and I lets just say I was displeased in my last review. I didnt plan on returning but due to a bit of miscommunication I ended up at the Newbury street Inn again. The second I walked into the room adsigned to me I couldn't believe the difference. I hadnt taken more then 2 steps through the door and was already pleasntly surprised at the changes that were made. The newly revivated room smelt clean, the carpets looked brand new, the sheets bright white and clean, as well as the furniture shinning, polished, and clean. I could go on and on with the changes. This place has gone and done a complete turn around. The very next day I was walking out to my car and was met by a very nice lady named Debbie. She was extremely welcoming and had answered

We checked into a non smoking room because I get sick around cigarette smoke. The instant we walked in, the room REEKED of smoke. During our two day stay our clothes and suitcases started to smell like it. We had to go to the store and buy heavy duty febreze and spray it every hour to try to cover the smell. The entire time I was so nauseous from the smoke. The sheets were clean but started to smell like smoke, the carpeting always felt somewhat moist, there were holes and stains on the walls. The people in the next room were screaming and swearing constantly. At 3 in the morning we would wake up to the man verbally abusing his wife, screaming all kinds of obscene things. We left two days early and lost $200 dollars because they wouldn’t refund us for the two other nights we had booked. J

My husband and I have been staying here as an only option type situation. The person who has been working the front desk typically dose the maintenance. He has not once but 2x now double charged me for the room so he could pocket an extra 120$. If I had another option if go elsewhere. Unfortunately we do not. But all I am gonna say is don't go here. And if you plan on staying long term pay with card everytime. I got a receipt for my cash transaction and he magically still couldn't remember taking it and said I was confused. Gaslighting at its finest. When I asked for the owners number he refused to give it to me. Told me me the the 2 separate receipts I had didn't matter because he had messed up. Mind you if this issue was resolved I'd give tis motel a 4 star rating it's actually really ni
