Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston-Peabody

Stayed here for a weekend visit to Salem for a girls trip. Starting with the good: lobby was nice, clerk at the front desk was very nice and professional, and quick with assisting us on check-in. We had a two bed suite with a living area and kitchen, layout was great with lots of room. I really like that when you do online check-in you can pick your floor/room. I picked the highest floor as I’m a light sleeper and didn’t want anyone above me.||Now for the bad…the room was filthy. Hair on one of the beds, dirty tub, mold around the rim of the sink, glob of something on the mirror, stain on the night stand, stains on the furniture, dust and dirt. I picked up a folded, supposedly clean towel and it had what looked like blood on it. We didn’t get to the hotel until almost midnight after walkin

We were looking for an affordable room for our family of 6 on our way to Boston. This checked all the boxes, pool, free parking, free breakfast and only 20 minutes from our destination. The staff is kind, the room is well furnished and clean. The hotel shows some wear but you can also see them actively making repairs. This hotel has been a great value for our family.

This hotel smells so bad especially in the room. If you want to be able to fall asleep do not stay here. It feels dirty and is so incredibly hot. The room isn’t bad for what you pay and the staff is nice but overall it is not worth it to stay here for how bad it smells and the cleanliness. Also if you’re going to stay here get 2 beds because the pull out couch bed is so uncomfortable, loud, and who knows the last time the bedding was washed. Go somewhere else if you’re looking for a hotel around here.

Stayed in the hotel the weekend of 1/10/26 for a wedding. The staff was amazing. Very polite. Greeted us every time we walked in. Extremely friendly and always available when needed. The room was somewhat clean. Could have used a better vacuuming. The fridge door wouldn't stay closed so we had to use our cooler to keep it shut. The 5th floor hallway also had a horrendous smell of dirty wet pets/dirty bathroom. As gym people, it was pretty unusable for us. Ok if you strictly do cardio (had treadmill and a bike, few very light weights). Very glad there were gyms near by. The breakfast was also so/so. Could use a bit more of a variety of items (yogurts, bacon, pastries, fruits). As a Hilton member, I really do love the brand. This Hotel could just use some TLC.

Avoid this hotel for right now. Going through construction. There is a lot of of leaking ceiling tiles and rooms that need to be updated. Service is terrible. They don’t recognize you for a diamond member. Their evening reception is next to nothing and not even worth it. Breakfast was horrible. I do not recommend this hotel. Maybe after Construction, I’ll take a look. Should’ve stayed at the Hampton Inn next to it or the Marriott
