We were in Hill City as part of our Mickelson Trail bike ride and an overnight at Mountain Peaks Inn was perfect. It had been raining and we were exhausted. We got there early and were well-entertained by locals in the coffee shop while Lisa worked to get our room ready hours before check-in. I know this was so inconvenient for her but she was very gracious. She also provided an extra bed for our room as well as a spot to secure our bicycles. Yes, we were "those" guests, a pain in the butt, but Steve and Lisa made sure that we had a comfortable stay in their establishment. We really appreciate the small business hospitality and work ethic. I highly recommend a stay at the Inn and a treat at the adjacent Caboose Coffee!

We stayed here for 4 nights in the Bear Mountain Suite. We were made very welcome by Lisa and she was very helpful as we needed access to a phone. The suite was lovely and very cosy. It was completely themed with bears which was really cute from ornaments, pictures, soft toys, towels, shower curtain and the bed linen. There were plenty of supplies and there was a fridge, microwave etc. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was efficient. There was a nice little balcony area which was useful for storing cases. The location was excellent for shops and fooThere was parking right outside the suite and the doors all locked securely. I thoroughly recommend this place

Stayed here for 3 nights as a base camp to the Badlands and Black Hills. Phenomenal location! The room was perfect for our family of five. Lisa and Steve were responsive and we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here 4 nights in July. What a wonderful place- we are SO glad we found it! A very quaint and cozy setting. We had a queen sized bed with another twin bed in a nook area. There was a small kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave. This is a B & B so there is a hot breakfast served Mon, Wed and Fri and a cold "picnic" breakfast for Tues, Thurs and Sat. You can opt out of the breakfast for a discount, but we would HIGHLY recommend all of the breakfasts! They were absolutely delicious!!! They also have a coffee shop with lattes and espressos and they were heavenly (there was a coffee maker in the room also). Sam and Linda are super friendly and helpful!! Once we got checked in, Sam came to our room with a map and talked about interesting places to visit and showed us o

We always stay in Hill City on visits to the Black Hills because it feels like a great jumping off point to all the things we want to do and see. This July we stayed here, in the Old Baldy Suite (highly recommend this for feeling like it's your own place on a longer stay), and Steve & Lisa were wonderful hosts. One of the unexpected pleasures was that they run a coffee shop in the front of the property and their experience in that industry shows. I'm not even a fan of coffee but on a 7-day stay found myself there every morning they were open except one (they are open M-Sa). Stay here. You'll get a great deal, especially in season when other prices are so crazy in the Black Hills, and you'll enjoy hosts who are down-to-earth and a pleasure to spend time with.
