Hill City / Needles Hwy KOA

The hosts were very friendly and it is a perfect location central to all the attractions in the area. Cleanest restrooms we've seen and the showers have lots of hooks. Only drawback is the weak wifi signal from our site but they are working on it. Nice homey place we'd definitely come back if we're in the area.

Most beautiful and peaceful RV campground in and around Hill City. Secluded, long sites, great for class A towing. Recently became an KOA, was Horse-thief RV. In afternoon , in back of park in the rock formations, the face of the horsethief legend can be seen. This is a huge campground, the back-hill tent only sites are probably the best anywhere. The park water is from a well, so might want to bring bottled, as is high in iron content.

This is a wonderful facility with spectacular views. You can tell that every space throughout the park is a point of pride for the team that takes care of it. The restrooms are incredibly clean (are closed and cleaned every night), the shop is well stocked with anything you may have forgotten (including well fair prices fire wood) and I just can’t say enough about the views. The staff is kind and welcoming. Will definitely visit again!!!

This is probably the best privately owned campsite experience we have ever had. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, helpful and cheerful. Even though we pulled in late at 9pm after hours, they were right there when we pulled in to help us back in to our spot and welcome us. The campground was large and spacious with lots amenities for kids and areas to explore. Bathroom and showers were nice and clean. Location was great, right off needles highway and close to mount Rushmore. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to take the kids camping. Close to Hill City and Custer State park. Very well located to both. There is a jump pad, play ground, hiking trail, and a small pool which are great for those those times when the parents need a little time to relax and not entertain. It's more focused on camping and less on the resort side. The service is great too. Just send them a text and they will deliver your order to the camp site. Its also not crazy busy. Went during Sturgis rally and the KOA was less than half full. We tented sobo can't say what the cabins are like but o am sure they are great. Also, there are bathrooms and showers when needed.
