Firehouse Campground & Cabins

Booked a little cabin last minute, as we needed one more day in the Black Hills. This is a very clean and well cared for campground. It is close to the main highway, but it didn't affect our sleep. We would just have rather have been deeper into the woods. Other than location near the road, it was a beautiful, well kept, and convenient stay. The cabins were clean and cozy! Thank you!

I feel like the Camping goddesses were looking after me! Found them through AIRBNB rather than a Camping app and I’m so glad. Rocky is an incredible camp host! Always available and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I was tent camping with electric and water and happy to find that spaces were far enough apart for privacy and picnic table and fire pit where good quality. Firewood on site was a plus but best of all was the location! I would recommend staying two nights, which is what I ended up doing although I stopped here thinking I would just sleep a little and move on. There is so much to see in the area and if you are wondering, yes, Mount Rushmore is worth the trip! Thank you, Rocky for a really great camping experience!

So the Campground Manager Rockie is absolutely one of the reason we come back every year. She's amazing, and it makes the whole time where they're very enjoyable. The campground is very clean. Well, taken care of well managed in an amazing area you can get to most any of the places if you're gonna side by side or fishing. You'll absolutely love this campground.

A small camp where each site has adequate room unlike Crooked Creek as an example. Good price. Only 7 air channels and we were able to stream at site #14. There is a little road noise but manageable. Big rig friendly but there is a steep grade on a turn that will spill your coffee when you pull in on the upper level. We've done it 4 years with out 39' Class A so you can too. Just secure the cup.

BEST OF EVERYTHING! We come here for a month in the summer every year. It's clean, it's green, it's convenient to bars restaurants entertainment history animals, host Rocky is amazing and works like a dog to keep this place sparkling
