Creekside Mountain Resort

We've stayed here twice. We added more time to our stay the first time because here's so much to see in this area. The location is great to get to everything. There is a nice walking area in the RV park by the stream, of course, the Mickelson trail. This grounds are so clean and well-kept. We love it. Our dogs have loved it. The sites are level, each with good space, a grass area and table. The 109-mile Mickelson bike trail is out the back gate. We were able to ride to get some groceries in Hill City and lunch in Custer. You can even ride your bike to Crazy Horse. The owner, Rita, is so kind and takes great care of every bit of this place. We are thankful for her kindness and glad to call her a friend. Our Starlink - perfect, no obstructions.

The owner, Rita, was a lovely woman who was very accommodating. We had two trailers and needed extra space, so she put us in the oversized site in the back, which worked out perfectly. She was eager to ensure we had a good visit but allowed us to have our space to relax. The campground itself is beautifully maintained and well-located. We had a seamless stay and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Black Hills. We have already planned a return trip to stay at CM RV.

We found this place by accident a few years ago when the KOA near Mount Rushmore put us in a spot way too small for our trailer and we had to bail. It was beautiful, cozy, small, and quiet. We only spent one night there, but we said we’d come back someday, and I believe we still will. They opened up to us in just a few minutes, gave us a great spot, and my wife said they gave us a military discount.

Love that my post keeps getting deleted, but I will continue to post this cause it needs to be shared so people know, The owner of this "tourist" business was completely rude, even though you would think she would at least fake being nice to people to get business🤷‍♀️ but she cussed out my husband and I when we pulled off to switch drivers in a gravel lot, there were no posted VISIBLE signs saying we could not pull off on the gravel driveway on that side of the lot( if you look at the picture I posted there is nothing posted that is visible to the driver). No reason for someone to be so hateful towards another person. If she would have talked to us as a nice human this would be a totally different review. Beware of her foul mouth and rudeness towards others. And no this is not one sided,

The owner does a great job maintaining this basic campground. Convenient to Hill City, Crazy Horse, Custer, and adjacent to the Michelson trail! Full hook ups with a nice area to walk by the creek.
