Mountain Creek Resort

We just finished our third year with Mountain Explorers at Mountain Creek, and as a mom of two kids in the program, I can honestly say it’s been a wonderful experience for our family. We are not a ski or snowboard family. I just took up skiing again after 30 years and wanted my kids to get off screens, get outdoors, and have a fun weekend activity. Heather, who runs the program, does an incredible job. She keeps everything organized, hires fantastic instructors, thoughtfully groups kids by skill level, and creates a fun, supportive environment that’s about enjoying the mountain, not competing. We went snow tubing and my kids had a blast. It's really beautiful up here. I will say I was confused on where to go for anything parking said the lot was full but there were plenty spots available and then I wasn't really sure where to go for the tubing. As a first timer a good chunk of my time was spent figuring out where I was supposed to be. Signage could be better get their early would be ny advice

I don’t even know where to start, but here we go. This review is for the ski operations, not the resort itself. This was my second time there, and it was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely not worth the money. The staff are mostly teenagers who act like they’re being forced to work there. The guy who handed me my boots didn’t even bother helping me put them on while helping everyone else around me. I had a 10:30 AM reservation, and the moment you walk in you hit a huge line just to get boots, about 40 minutes. Then the lockers didn’t work, even after I paid $10. I had to ask two different staff members just to get one to open. The whole area was filthy, trash and food on the floor, and people blocking every walkway with their stuff. Total chaos. Ski Camp is amazing and highly recommend! Both kids (8 & 5) first time on skis and loved every minute of it thanks to the amazing coaches - Caitlin and Sol. By the 2nd day, they both had the confidence and skills to feel accomplished on green! Ski camp members are experts in their field with patience, always smiling, welcoming, and having fun. The kids are in great care at camp. Huge shoutout to Heather, Mona, & Indy, who are there greeting all visitors and making it a phenomenal experience for all! Mountain Creek Resort completely won our hearts. From the moment we arrived, the energy and beauty of the property felt special—like we were standing in the place our marriage is meant to begin. The team is truly incredible: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. Every single need, question, and concern we had was addressed with patience and care, and the tour was excellent—thorough, thoughtful, and exciting without ever feeling rushed. The mountaintop ceremony site is an absolute dream.
