Mother Earth Motor Lodge

We had such a great stay here! The hotel has a super cute retro vibe that gives it so much personality without sacrificing comfort. The location is fantastic — we were able to walk to several amazing restaurants and even a local brewery, which made our trip feel so relaxed and fun. Everything was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be staying here again the next time we come back for a food vacation!

We had an affair out of town that we had to attend. And this was the closest motel to our event. And it turned out to be an excellent little place. They have an awesome pool. They have shuffle board. They had a cool little gathering spot with these cute little chair things that would accommodate like four people per chair. The only thing they really needed was a fire top. Table and it would have been exquisite

An unexpected surgery landed me in Kinston North Carolina for a few days. And needing to find a motel to recover in,(being 2900 miles from home), I found this gem of a place. The room was amazing. The staff very friendly. The service was great. The retroness of this place is outstanding. I highly recommend staying here if you can. I could go on and on about the kitchiness(?). Next time im taking advantage of the activities they offer.

I have stayed at the Mother Earth Motor Lodge several times, and I am always thrilled to return! It is a truly unique experience. The retro feel of the hotel reminds me of a time when life was simpler. The staff members are always wonderful. The rooms are very clean. Great bathrooms. And the pool is amazing! So beautiful and relaxing. Can’t wait to return again! Even though I’m usually here on business, it’s like a mini vacation just being at the hotel. If you’re looking to get away for a couple relaxing nights, this is the place!

I love this place - this is the second time we've stayed here on "food tourism" to Kinston. The location is great. The rooms are nice and comfy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only issue I have is that they charge for putt putt golf, shuffle board and ping pong. That is BONKERS to me - why not just take a deposit of a drivers license or something so people don't walk away with the equipment? I love everything else about the hotel except for that part - if you want to do one of those activities, be prepared to pay.
