Hampton Inn Kinston

Hilton should be ashamed of this location. From all the cigarettes butts all over the entry way to the dusty, smelly rooms it leaves a lot to be desired. The carpet in the room was wore down to nothing and it smelled bad. Dust everywhere, signs of rust around floor in bathroom and the comforter looked like it had seen better days with traces of blood on it. |The bright side was the 2 ladies working in the breakfast area. The food was ok, not really hot but the microwave was helpful to fix that.|Front desk staff mostly invisible any time I walked by.

The staff was pleasant especially the ladies that handle the breakfast. The food was also nice and hot as well. The main issue was my room. There was an issue noticed after unpacking and I called downstairs to let them know. He asked did I want to move and I told him it would be too much as my party was already unpacked and resting due to me arriving after the1 am. Quan was very apologetic and assured me that he would put the service order in a someone would fix the issue between 8 am and 5 pm. That afternoon I mentioned it to another staff desk person and she mentioned it was on the list. This issue was never resolved and this room should be not been lent out until it was fixed. The closet door was completely off the hindges. Either it was broken by the prior renters and/or housekeeping

We read the reviews on our way and really got scared. Most were accurate. Although the necessities were clean (the bed and toilet, the floors were disgusting and the public areas weren’t very clean either. It took me a good 30 mins to check in because the front desk has no way of knowing which rooms have been cleaned and the girl checking me in had to go and look for herself. Very unorganized.

The worst Hilton property we have ever stayed at. Check in staff was super nice and that is the only positive thing about this location. Dont expect the level of cleanliness and comfort that is at other Hilton locations.
