Motel Santa Cruz

This was one of the worst motel experiences my family has ever had. The room was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. It did not feel safe or sanitary at all. Because of how bad it was, we checked out the very next day instead of staying our full reservation. On top of the filth, there were teenagers running up and down the motel stairs late at night, causing the building to shake and making loud noise that kept us awake. It felt chaotic and completely out of control. The facility itself was unclean, and after we returned home, my entire family became sick. That alone says everything about the condition of this place. This motel should not be renting rooms in this state. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It was dirty, loud, and completely unacceptable. We would never stay here

Positive: It was close to everything, room was clean, and bed comfy. Negative: No coffee in the room had to walk across to 7-11 to get coffee. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, not sure if it was from other rooms or from the past when smoking was allowed.

I’m starting off this review by saying I never actually stayed the night. Upon checking in I felt a vibe that left me feeling unsettled. Homeless walking thru the parking lot. Everything felt dirty. We got our room on the 3rd floor (no elevators), walked past the rusted out stairwells held together with masking tape up to our room. The room is dated and stale. Stains on the sheets kept it from feeling like a comfortable stay for myself and family. As a review below stated. I’d avoid if staying with your family. I walked back down and got a refund and stayed elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay. Room good for the price. Good location. Nice owners. Per friendly. 5 stars for a budget friendly motel. 15 minute walk to boardwalk or downtown area. $25 per day for dogs.

This is a catfish motel, the photos aren’t like anything inside. The price is insane for the quality of this place. It’s nice outside but the inside is Absolutely filthy. Me and my husband walked in and right out. it smelt so bad we couldn’t even stand in there. And on top of that the workers there are so unprofessional and rude. I cancelled my booking and got a full refund. The motel crew kept pressing for us to leave after me made the comment of how we were dissatisfied. I don’t know who the worker was who called me but she told me “you guys need to make up your mind if you are staying or not so you can go find a room somewhere else” Having a attitude working at that place was bold of her.
