Motel 6 Springfield, MO - North

This motel is par for the course, being a two-star rated stay. The bed was comfortable, but I was disappointed that there were no lampshades. The toilet wasn't securely fastened, but it worked just fine. The best part of my stay was the friendly staff. Great location, but finding the point of entry is a bit tricky.

WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Couldn't get the front desk to check me in for over 35 min while calling the number posted and listening to it ring. Got to the room and the keys didn't work, had to walk around the motel at 2 in the morning to get new keys. They gave us a smoking room when we asked for non-smoking (reaked so bad of smoke I got a headache). NOT A DROP OF HOT WATER!!! only needed the room for 4 hours to shower and nap before getting back on the road and I couldn't do EITHER! Plus this place was FILTHY

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. Check-in was smooth and quick, and I was immediately made to feel at home. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated—everything was exactly as pictured online. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail, like the fresh linens, quality toiletries, and a well-stocked coffee station. Ok, I will admit that after reading previous reviews, I was worried. But after 2 weeks there, I was so happy I asked for an extra day because I didn't want to leave. The location is great because even if you don't have a vehicle you're close to shopping and restaurants to walk or take the city bus. It's obvious they are trying to upgrade rooms, but we never were disturbed by the work being done (But in my opinion a soft yellow paint would have been really nice to see) or maybe they haven't painted our room yet. My husband and I had 136, and it was very clean, with no bugs (believe me, I checked every inch of the room, including the bed) 😁 we also saw no homeless issues or drug issues that were mentioned in previous reviews and our stay was quiet. The fact that i could stay here with my large dog was why I rented a room. First, I drove around trying to find it, passing it 5 times. The sign is not lit therefore you can't see it in the dark. Secondly, I took my belongings, and my dog to the 2nd floor room and discovered it had been used, stunk like fresh cigarettes and the TV was blaring. I returned to the check in desk. He commented, " oh, someone probably broke into it", and proceeded to find a different room for me. In which I replied, "do people break in to these rooms often?" He stated that it's not the best neighborhood and then changed his statement to " someone probably gave them a key". He proceeded to give me a different room on the first floor.
