Motel 6 Springfield, IL

The staff here are absolutely amazing and so easy to work with! They are friendly, kind, and super helpful if you need anything. The fact that it's pet friendly and they don't charge is a feat on its own! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to stay. The rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable.

Positive: Room looked new was very clean Negative: Although my stay was a good experience, the warning signs to lock doors worried me. But nothing happened in the area or hallway that night. It seemed like everyone was there to sleep. No loitering anywhere.

Yes, you read that title correctly. On the PLUS side, the room was VERY clean, and the owner at least tries to keep up with maintenance, and it shows. NOW...for all of the negatives. 1) this place is in DESPERATE need for night security, ESPECIALLY IN THE BACK OF THE BUILDING!!! Our room was literally right next to the back door, and ALL NIGHT LONG (I know this cuz my wife is a light sleeper, and it kept her up all night! The walls are thin, ANOTHER problem), sketchy looking folks were parking in the ONE handicapped spot and coming and going at all hours of the night, and ME BEING HANDICAPPED, I didn't appreciate my space being took by obvious junkees, whom NONE of them had a handicapped plate OR handicap placard. 2) GERMAN COCKROACHES...they exist here, cuz I killed one in the bathroo

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve stayed in a lot of places during my travels, but my experience at this Motel 6 really stood out. After driving a couple thousand miles, I was greeted by the kindest young man at the front desk — polite, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He made check-in feel effortless, and that small act of kindness set the tone for the whole stay. The room was spotless, cozy, and surprisingly comfortable — exactly what I needed after a long trip. The heat worked perfectly, the bed was inviting, and the atmosphere made me feel safe, warm, and completely at ease. It was raining outside that night, and there was something really comforting about being tucked inside, dry and relaxed, listening to the rain from such a clean, well-kept room. This was hands down one of the nicest check-in

For a motel 6 it's a 5. Stayed for a week n a half. GREAT customer service, they clean well but I still found a roach(easy to get rid of), I was able to smoke in peace in the back of the parking lot. They are currently remodeling it and it looks great! Always have someone watching the camera so my car was safe. I respect and think highly of this place, great for people on a budget. Best in Springfield. Thank you for treating my family so well.
