Motel 6 Schenectady, NY

I arrived at this location to access a room that was supposed to be rented for me because I am in the area for work and needed a last minute place to rest and find reprieve from the brutal cold temperatures. I was given the confirmation information that I mistakenly believed secured me a room. The gentleman and ladies that greeted me at 7:30 am informed me that I would not be able to access the room until 3pm. When I inquired about early check-in, as the renter expressed willingness to pay the extra fee, or some kind of other solution, I was not only met with hostility, but made to leave the location on foot wearing inadequate clothing that was not intended for the sub freezing temperatures with no money or way to contact a ride in an unfamiliar area. A fantastic experience for me at Motel 6 Schenectady, Albany, NY 12303. It’s very quiet and I had wonderful sleep each day. I am too executive at Bank of America, I can afford a big star hotels in and around this area, but I am pretty sure I may not get the same piece of mind. This is a good place in a nice location. Very decently priced and they have smoking and non smoking rooms. It's my top place to go to now when I need a hotel

Let me start by saying I do not care much at all about how nice a cheap motel room is. If I can sleep there, I’m happy. That being said, this place is absolutely disgusting. The walls are banged up and covered with stains, the bathtub had hair in it when I got there, not to mention that it was covered in burn marks. If it was $40 or something I would understand, but this place cost $80 ($100 after including a pet fee)! If you are reading I would highly recommend you just spend the extra $20 and sleep somewhere that doesn’t make your skin crawl.

Very dirty rooms and trash littering the landscaping around the building. Seemed like this place would be an inexpensive and convenient location for traveling the NY Tollway, but the vibes are off…I felt like I was being watched and worried what would happen at night…so I left about 3 hours after my arrival. I asked for a refund but only got 50% of my money back. Motel 6 should be ashamed of this location. I’ve stayed at many throughout my life and this Motel 6 is the worst and least safe of them all. The water from the tap was cloudy and the rooms next door were wide open as the staff were taking a long time to “clean” but it wasn’t very pleasant or professional.
