Courtyard by Marriott Schenectady at Mohawk Harbor

Feels like a newer property but one elevator was out of service. Didn’t matter, had no issues getting up and down. Room was clean and comfortable. Wish there was free breakfast or at least free coffee but the Starbucks / breakfast people are super nice. Parking is easy.

Great place to stay for mine and my wife’s first stay in Schenectady! Front desk staff was friendly and efficient at check in. The over night girl Britney even had coffee made at 5AM before the bistro was open and was so patient with all of our questions about the area! Close to Rivers Casino, Proctors Theater and some good restaurants. Housekeeping was a little underwhelming with some hair left in the shower and an every other day service. Over all would stay here again next time I’m in town.

This was our first time ever staying at the courtyard by Marriott at Mohawk Harbor my boyfriend booked us the room we checked in for our kids hockey tournament then we bought our kid's over to the bunker there was about 20 of us to burn off some energy when we got back they went upstairs. They were running to the rooms and then Henry the front desk manager very nice guy heard them upstairs running around upstairs come to find out they're playing hockey in the hallway. Henry told them that wasn't allowed. He bought them back downstairs. We didn't mind that at all. We love his hospitality and Gill also they are very nice. They know how to deal with kids. One of the kids asked him for some water so he actually bought out a whole thing of water and ice for us. That was very much appreciated.

My daughters and I stayed in the Courtyard Schenectady and used it as a base for day trips in the area. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice view of the river. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was especially nice and a good place to unwind for a bit. I do miss the pre-COVID amenities of free breakfast and daily housekeeping, and I hope they return soon. Also, there is only one restaurant within walking distance and, frankly, it wasn't very good. Not the hotel's fault, but it's a location issue—it's in a newish mixed-use complex, not an urban downtown. All that said, the hotel was perfect for our mother-daughter vacation. It's a nice hotel, so it felt "special," and the staff made us feel special as well.

This Marriott is a hidden Gem. It is within walking distance of Shaker and Vine which is a fantastic place and the Casino. I highly recommend this hidden treasure if you want time away.
