Motel 6 Redding, CA - South

Location was preferred. Rooms were ok. Clean? Sure.. you get what you pay for. 💕 Service is where the problem lives: one stay, a hotel towel was used to clean a spill, upon returning we were told there was a $50 fee for the one towel that had "pee" on it, I explained that it wasn't to no evail and paid the extra $50 for one of their cheap towels... Next stay, same thing except this time it was oj on a sheet (I have 4 kids) - I told staff sorry and told them I'd pay the difference again if I needed to - they seemed to be understanding at the time. Next time I showed up - got told that they're not going to rent to us anymore due to this. The exact words were "can't rent" on my profile...

Positive: It had a bed to sleep in. Negative: The shower head in room 103, handicapped, sprayed water out the side seams with no normal shower spray. It made it almost impossible to take a shower. Also, dead gnats on the dusty lampshade.I told the front desk person but doubt they will change it.

Not a safe or Clean place to stay. Doors did not lock and it reeked of cigarette smoke and was dirty. Staff was incompetent but not mean. You could not pay me to stay here again. Refused to give me a refund even though they couldn’t check me into the room.

My 5 year old daughter and her father just stayed at this motel 6 last night. They had to request to switch rooms because my daughter and her father both woke up to bed bugs biting them up. The motel not only refused to give them a refund but wouldn't refund the whole deposit due to having to change rooms. Anyone who doesn't mind bed bugs this is the place for you. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRASHY MOTEL.

Do not recommend this place at all. It was exactly what you'd expect from a bad Motel. Location was not overly safe. It appeared as though most of the clientele was there to engage in drinking and weed smoking as the smell kept wafting into a room all night. It was very loud could hear all the highway noise as well as the other guests. Front desk staff look to be a little bit overwhelmed.
