Motel 6 Portsmouth, NH

We stayed here for a few months until our new apartment was ready. They made our stay very welcoming, kid/pet friendly. The whole place is very well kept up and smells very nice, room service is absolutely outstanding and makes sure if you need toiletries and towels, and they have complimentary coffee every morning, which is essential when you have a toddler. 😊☺️ Super friendly employees and an amazing manager Jenelle! 5+ stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Positive: Lights out on the 3rd floor leading to a walk down a dark hallway. Our room smelled like mildew and I did not sleep and had a severe headache.My husband had a major surgery scheduled the next day. It was very disappointing and uncomfortable. Negative: A woman outside told my husband that her family put a hit out on her ex-husband and the lobby smelled like marijuana.

Stayed one night. Bathroom floor had wat seeping up from the toilet. Heater blew cold air all night.. and had no hot water for a shower. Very poor experience. Will never stay again or recommend it to anyone. Told staff they didn't seem to care.

Stayed on Friday night, August 22..I was exhausted, could not drive any farther. First, I got a shock from the room price $214 plus tax, wow. But I am too tired to go elsewhere, so I go to the room. It is a dirty, filthy pig pen. I am 67, and I have never been given a room that has never been cleaned. So when I leave the room to return to the front desk, I am met by a drunk with a beer and a pit bull in the hallway. They gave me another adequate room. When checking out the next morning, the young lady at the front desk took my info. The manager was not in at the time I left. So asked if she would call me when I got back home to Nova Scotia. I waited till Tuesday, no call. When I called on Tuesday, the manager could not take my call. Left my number again for her to call.Waited till Friday.

I'm not too sure what's going on? I must have stayed at the wrong Motel 6. Although I'm registered for this one. The hotel itself does not look like any of the pictures they show on it's Website nor hotels.com, which I always book through hotels.com. The room is extremely small. It was not as clean as what it should have been. They advertise a pool, but the Pool is closed and covered, and this is July almost the end of July, and the pool is closed. No warning, nothing on their website, nor on hotels.com. I purposely booked for the pool. The ice machine was broken, so there was no ice for your water. You had to leave to go buy ice if you wanted anything cold to drink. Checking in was okay. The woman that checked me in was nice. Then after that, the person that was left at the front desk see
