Motel 6 Merrillville, IN

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I just moved to Indiana and was staying here on and off occasionally . My son was sleeping in the room while i finally went to go grab our belongings from my vehicle and woke up to someone in the room . He was scared so he immediately called me and which i rushed back in after trying to speak with her on the phone but she wasn’t being very polite . to try and let the manager know . Sharon the manager was not very understanding. The protocol is to check each room for smoking since all rooms are non smoking . She was by my son’s bed trying to socialize and ask him personal questions ( his age and etc) . I have recorded footage since she did not know i was on the call . I kindly let her know i didn’t want any room service at first due to it maybe being a misunderstanding

Positive: Location, had a microwave and mini fridge Negative: Exhaust fan didn't work, in the bathroom, TV barely worked (couldn't see it well) no daily cleaning as it said it did. We had to take our own towels to be exchanged for clean ones, not offering smoking rooms. Holes in the walls and curtains., no elevator

Great room at a great price! We came to Merrillville for a hockey tournament and found this as the most reasonable place for us to stay. The location is great, lots of places within walking distance to go eat and shop. |The staff at the desk welcomed us and really engaged with our kids when they saw our hockey equipment. They even let them show off a few moves!|The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

DO NOT GO HERE !! I was racially profiled by the manager SHARON !! Had a horrible experience. Went in to inquire kindly about a room and in which she felt the need to make a rude comment about my appearance and if i could afford my stay . I asked to speak to someone above her and she denied giving me corporates number and told me good luck !!!! There was also a lot of staff at the front just watching and laughing in the back , the other day when i stopped by a staff member had a unsupervised toddler girl at the front in her pajamas with no shoes on and in which i later found out was related to the manager on duty !! RED FLAGS EVERY WHERE !! I thought coming back to inquire would be better CLEARLY I WAS WRONG !!! WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER !!! WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN !! Be warned !!

Don’t book here! I booked here for a 2 night work trip. Upon checking in my room was dirty and damaged. There was dirt stains and crumbs under the covers of the made up bed. the bathroom door had a whole line someone punched it. The tv mount and remote did not work. The front desk manager came to bring new sheets and upon entering the room he tried to continue our stay in that room. He did end up moving us but upon that room we were greeted with a housekeeping party that smelled of liquor and drugs! They decided to stay on the left and right side of our room all night. I was 211- they blocked the door of 210/ They not only stayed outside of my room all night they had conversations and played music. I was nervous they were going to try to access my room because why would you sit outside o
