Motel 6 McAlester, OK - South

Oh where to begin! Checked in and went to our FIRST room. The only working light was in the headboard. Then there was the Toilet. Someone had previously went #2 in the toilet and didn't flush! I discovered it was because the toilet wouldn't flush! How on earth you "CLEAN" the room for the next guest and don't check the toilet still puzzles me! Our second room was clean and had functioning bathroom facilities. Still only working light was by the bed. One of the room lights worked but you had to unscrew the light bulb to get it to shut off none of the switches in our room controlled it!! The A/C unit while it functions well was VERY noisy! We had to ask the front desk for clean towels as well! This location has no elevator. Access to the highway was nice and there are several good choices f

The front desk person, Jojo was so helpful and made sure we was completely happy. She was very nice and made the process quick and easy to get up to our room. The room was very clean and smelled great! I would highly recommend! And you can have up to 2 pets for free!

Positive: The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't have super high expectations considering it was a Motel 6. It was definitely nicer than other Motel 6s that I had stayed in on other trips. Overall, it wasn't bad if you know what you are getting into. Negative: I booked a single with a kitchenette. When I got there I was told that they didn't have any. Only the double rooms did. I was not offered an reimbursements or other options.

Absolutely worst motel 6 I’ve ever been to. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE- From the moment we stepped inside I was very underwhelmed. The lobby stunk like cigarettes and the employees looked very disheveled and unprofessional. For the room- the toilet seat was dirty with pee and some type of residue. The shower area was also dirty. The light on the left side of the bed didn’t work, and there was toilet paper stuffed into the peep holes?? For $60/night we could’ve definitely gotten at least a clean bathroom. Also when we were checking out, a man was vacuuming the lobby with an extremely filthy vacuum, and the lobby smelled like old dirty cigarettes and something else foul.

The lady at the front desk was asleep in the back we could see her from the desk we banged and yelled and could not get her to answer. We called the phones twice. She finally got up and she was so incoherent that you couldn’t understand which room number she said it seemed as if drugs were involved. We got to the room there was rat poop in the bed, Pubic hair all over the bathroom, And food still on the TV stand The smell of urine was so strong they tried to cover it up with dryer sheets, which did not work. The hotel is beyond nasty. I will not be staying here anymore.10/10 recommend…STAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE! We seen the room and left immediately
