Candlelight Inn & Suites Hwy 69 near McAlester

Great little hotel!! After seeing this hotel had the best reviews in the entire area for a great price, we were happy to see it lived up to the reviews! We arrived very late at night and thankfully the gentleman working was great and got us checked in quickly. The doors are locked at night for security which was great! It is conveniently located right off the highway but is NOT noisy. Our room and bathroom were very clean!! The beds were just ok BUT if you’re looking for a safe clean place to rest your head for a great price look no further! They do offer complimentary breakfast which I recommend going to earlier rather than later as it was cleaned up and put away about 15 minutes before ending time. We came to this area for a school reunion and stayed one night. The room was large by today’s standards and was well maintained. We were on the back side of the building so the road noise that is mentioned by several was not a problem for us. In fact the hotel was very quiet. The Free breakfast was basically waffles, mini muffins and toast. The view off of the patio was very nice and if they had chairs out there to sit in it would be a great place to sit and relax. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. |I can recommend this hotel .

My wife and I just wanted a quick getaway with a limited budget. This place did not disappoint! It’s quaint and clean and the morning sunrise over a little body of water to the east was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great place for the value!!

We stay at this hotel every time we come to town for work. They have reasonable rates and the property allows our dogs. We usually get the same room which we like since we can keep an eye on our truck and it makes it easier to load and off load our stuff. They also have some truck parking which is also a big plus for us. The property has a large back area with a nice view. Hotel is close enough to town when we need anything. The staff is friendly and we can tell its a priority to make sure the rooms are clean. They offer a continental breakfast so that's also a plus.

Very nice for the age of the place. Clean and well kept. Staff does their job minus the bath towels, lol. We had to use hand towels after shower but obviously could have gotten them if asked for. Not a big deal. We were in and out doing a drive thru. Don’t expect the Ritz and you will be just fine.
