La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham McAlester

Rachel at the front desk was excellent. We had a King suite and the room was spacious, super clean, and seemed new (certainly updated if not). Even the floors were very nice where you aren’t afraid to walk barefoot! The amenities are nice, the bed a little firm but nice. If you stay here go eat at Captain John’s, it was excellent!

The breakfast was good and the pool was nice for the kids. We enjoyed our overall stay at this hotel. We did run into a couple issues throughout our stay. The check in was frustrating due to the lady at the front desk. She saw two rooms booked under the same last name but didn’t pay attention to the first names, in the system, so she kept trying to cancel one of the reservations thinking it was a duplicate booking but wasn’t taking the time to listen to my husband. She ended up changing the other persons phone number to my husbands so when they checked in, hours later, my husband got the welcome text. We booked the King deluxe suite room so that we had the sofa bed as well. We noticed there weren’t extra sheets, in the room, so we had to go to the front desk to grab some, no big deal. How

My husband and I stayed here for one night enroute to Kansas City from Corpus Christi Texas. We were very pleased with not only the condition of the hotel (very clean) but also the professional, friendly staff from the ladies at the front desk to the cleaning staff and the lady who kept the breakfast options full. We were in an accessible room and several things impressed me: there was an actual closet and not just a rack for your clothes; there was a pull down shade which kept the light out (I’d come equipped with clothespins to hold curtains shut!); the mini fridge had a separate freezer section and last bit certainly not least, the room was very quiet! We didn’t hear any outside noise at all! We’ll definitely be staying here again!!

Great stay! It was quiet, clean, room actually smelled great, comfy bed. Front desk help was so so nice. Will definitely stay again if we are back here.

Positive: It was a nice hotel, clean and easy to find. They had a great breakfast, eggs, sausage, bisquits and gravy and all the fixins. Negative: The Assessable room showed a walkin shower. When I got there to check in they gave me an assessable room but there was a tub in there which is impossible for my wife. I asked for the room I registered for they said it wasn't available.
