Motel 6 Hamburg, NY

Stayed for about a week and had a pleasant non stressful experience which is what I seek. The staff were probably the best I’ve encountered ever at a hotel/motel. No one really bothers you, the property is big and spaced out so you get some breathing room from other guests. The prices are good. The rooms aren’t bad for the prices either. I haven’t had any issues or concerns, and can say I’ve been happy with my experience here.

Positive: Location Negative: Floor was dirty feet were black after walking on them. Beds were like sleeping on a board. .

This motel was clean and inexpensive and had a very nice, clean pool which I swam in. Okay, maybe swim is the wrong word because it was no deeper than 4 and a 1/2 feet. But it was beautiful on a hot summer day! The staff were friendly enough, the bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There was a microwave and a fridge if I wanted, which I didn't. The TV worked and overall, it was a fine stay compared to some of the other 2 star hotels.I stayed in on my long road trip. If I ever drive through this part of New York again, I would stay there.

Unfortunately, my experience was not good. The bed had visible cigarette burns, the bathroom was dirty, and the whole room felt unclean. Cleanliness should be a top priority for any motel, and this stay did not meet expectations. I hope management addresses these issues for future guests.

Staff was very friendly for the most part however when I asked if we could upgrade to a king room and told us no there was nothing available but they were definitely no where near even 25% booked so was kind of irritated by that but possible they just didn’t have anything ready at the time so not basing my review on that. The overwhelming smell of cleaner was a little much but the floors were pretty dirty still and found a bunch of food wrappers beside the bed.
