Motel 6 Gastonia, NC

The room was ok. Hours after getting settle in the room there was a knock at door we were told that everyone had to clear the rooms, go to lobby or go outside. So we went outside there were police, …… everywhere, drones in sky, there was a police standoff. We had to sit in our truck for hours. Once it was over we didn’t get back into the room til 2-3 AM NEXT MORNING. I was so tire, we only got maybe 3-4 hours of sleep. This was inconvenient… We got back on the interstate at 7am to go to our destination.

Positive: Everyone is really nice. Hotel employee has been super helpful and professional. It?s a great stay! Negative: The fridge didn?t get very cold.

This was a very clean room. Excellent value. Not the easiest place to get to off I 85 North, but it is manageable. Desk is not often attended. No shampoo in bathroom.

Yeah, I know - Motel 6 has a certain reputation, and sometimes well deserved - but not in this case. This facility is either new, or very well maintained. Rooms are clean, nice bed and TV. Good work space with appropriate plugs. No breakfast, just coffee, but there are restaurants very close by. Convenient location, just off I-85 but far enough away that noise is minimized. 2 floors, no elevator so if stairs are an issue make sure you have a ground level floor. Inside hallway, also unusual for Motel 6.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great price. Will stay again.
