Motel 6 Fredericksburg, VA - North

The guy at the desk was decent kinda like a robot but he was decent at at least. The rooms are the worst rooms you can find at least mine is. The mattress is so bad. It’s almost like a taco. It is literally 6 inches higher at the top 6 inches higher at the bottom. The bedding has cigarette burns all in it. The roof leaking. Literally there is vent access to your room that there is a big vent where someone can come through even though the AC is in the outer wall. I opened it to look inside of the big vent in my room and there’s two bowls catching water in a huge opening for any size person to come through the ceiling has holes the walls have holes. The floor is ruined. The beds are from the 1990s unless your own drugs or need somewhere super cheap to stay. I would go somewhere else.

I was in fear for my life at this motel. Booking.com rated it three out of four stars which is the biggest BS I ever saw. From the moment I arrived the parking lot was filled with broken down looking cars. When I stepped out of the vehicle there were some hoodlums hanging from the balcony drinking beers. As I looked around the parking lot wondering if my car was in the safest spot that far away from the front door I noticed a woman looking kind of drugged up hop out of a tractor trailer that was parked in the back in the dark. She was in her pajamas and kind of limped back to the motel... Assuming there was some prostitution going on here. We see small roaches about once a week. We have been here for 90 days. Staff are friendly. Management is decent. Getting fresh bedding for long term stays is a pain in the ass. It's a roof over your head while you're transitioning unhoused in the area.

Positive: I wound up not staying at this hotel. Negative: My girlfriend and I could not stay in the room. It smelled so strongly of cleaning chemicals that I started having an asthma attack. The woman at the front desk let us try another room but it was the same. We had to go to a different hotel.

They charge extra for microwave and extra for mini fridge- like five dollars extra, for each item per day, so ten dollars extra additional to the low rate! The rate is not so low now. The other guests are okay. The management is another thing! I was only there for one week. 90% of the staff were excellent.
