It would have been better if the place had been cleaner and more organized. The rooms were small and poorly maintained, with a noticeable lack of cleanliness. Additionally, since I stayed there a week after a snowstorm, I expected the stairs and hallways to be cleared, but they were still extremely icy. I had to be very careful, especially with elderly individuals and children. Unfortunately, the microwave and refrigerator were also not working. The photos advertised online were very different from the actual room in reality. Overall, this was the worst stay experience I have had.
Biggest rat hole infested hotel in the NY/newark area. My girlfriend and I stayed there the night before our flight to Quebec, and this was biggest dump of a motel 6 location we’ve ever visited. Rooms need attention. Bathroom was tiny, and the shower curtain looked like it was about to fall off. The heater still felt cold, even after turning the heat up to 75 degrees. Front desk clerk almost seemed like he had no manners, and not even complimentary coffee was offered in the morning like other locations do. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you don’t want your NY area visit to turn sour like ours. Next time, I’ll take my business to either Airbnb or conclude my one day NY visits on last available flight to the nearest affordably priced metropolitan area in the east coast such as D
I booked my stay through an online service. I trusted the picture and the ad. I trusted what I knew about motel 6's from staying in them all up and down the West Coast. I am a disabled woman traveling alone and I was offered no help to pick up my room key and no help going to my room. I was told it was right over there. I'll walk through the door and I hit the latch and I needed them to take a shower. I didn't feel safe enough to do so so I had to make a long distance phone call today. Family member, you stay with me on the phone. Here's a list of what was wrong with the room curtains and that fit the window correctly so it was barely closed. It was clean. Could not turn off the shower. I was grateful for towers. There was no soap. I'm glad I had my own. The microwave didn't work. I couldn
Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t book here, I called over the phone for pricing and was told $130 for two nights. Called twice, just 30 minutes before arriving and the day before, just to make sure. I arrive and get charged double, so when I asked why the price was doubled they scoffed and said “where did you hear that from? Who told you?” And I repeated that I called just a few minutes before. They laughed and said they didn’t know what I was talking about, very rude and were pretty rude on the phone as well. Don’t stay here unless you’re VERY desperate, apart from that there other hotels better than this one.
Motel 6 Review – Elizabeth, New Jersey My recent stay at this Motel 6 was nothing short of a disaster. The property is in terrible condition: cracked floors, wobbling toilets, and missing amenities that were supposed to be standard in every room. On the first night, the room assigned to us had no microwave, refrigerator, or coffee maker. The bathroom was so dirty I didn’t even feel comfortable showering. To make matters worse, the heater malfunctioned all night, cycling on and off every 30 seconds, leaving us freezing. I had to call the front desk the next morning to request a room change. The second room they offered reeked of cigarette smoke, even though I’m a non-smoker. When I asked which rooms actually had working appliances, the staff admitted they didn’t know — it was essentially
